How can I place an order?

Choose the products you want and select “Add to Cart”. You can view your cart in the top right corner of the page and proceed to checkout.

After checking out, click “Sign In” (if you already have an account) or use the “Register” button if you are a new user. You will be asked to provide some billing, delivery and contact details. Select your preferred payment method and agree to our Terms and Conditions to complete your purchase.

Alternatively, you can place your order via WhatsApp, email geral@terracotta.com.pt or send a message via our Instagram (insert brand @), where our team will guide you through the rest of the process.

When will my order be shipped?

What are the delivery times and conditions?

Once production of the parts is complete, we expect delivery within 1 to 2 working days in Portugal and 2 to 8 working days in the remaining EU countries.

Your order will be delivered to the address you provided, via courier.

Shipping is free on orders over €1,000. For lower amounts, the shipping cost will be calculated at checkout.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Your satisfaction is our priority. If you wish to make any changes to your order, whether to the products or the delivery address, please send us an email as soon as possible so that we can assess the production status of your order and check whether it is still possible to do so.

If this option is not available, our customer service will contact you with further information on how to proceed.

What should I do if I want to return my order?

You have a maximum of 14 days from the date of delivery to return the items you have ordered. Please contact us via email geral@terracotta.com.pt for more information and so that we can offer you our best solution.

Customized products, by their very nature, cannot be exchanged or returned, except if they present a manufacturing defect, customization error or some type of damage.

Damage resulting from incorrect use, such as normal wear and tear, environmental influences, use of force or attempted repairs, is not considered to be the responsibility of Terra.Cotta.

In the event of damage occurring during transport, this must be reported on the delivery note to the carrier and claimed in writing to our email geral@terracotta.com.pt within 24 hours of receiving the order. We therefore advise you to check the status of your order at the time of delivery.

How do I choose the size of my Arraiolos Rug?

To determine the ideal size for your Arraiolos rug, we recommend that you first measure the width and length of the area where it will be placed, taking into account the layout of the space and the existing furniture. To help you visualize, you can recreate the rug’s measurements by covering the area with sheets of paper or towels, for example.

How can I customize an Arraiolos Rug?

Whether it is an adaptation of the format to better suit your needs, or the creation of an exclusive piece, we will carefully analyze the feasibility of implementing your proposal to try to respond to your request as quickly as possible.

What is the Arraiolos stitch?

The Arraiolos stitch is an oblique cross stitch made up of two half crosses, one of which is twice the length of the other. This stitch, characteristic of Arraiolos rugs, continues to be made using the same counted thread process as in the 17th century.

The embroidery is hand-made with a needle on jute canvas using 100% pure sheep's wool, produced and dyed in Portugal.

What maintenance care should I take with my Arraiolos Rug?

Your Arraiolos rug , as a work of art, deserves the best practices and care to preserve its qualities over the years.

We recommend some precautions, including:

  1. Do not place your Arraiolos Rug on a damp surface.
  2. Vacuum your carpet frequently, do not shake it.
  3. Do not subject your Arraiolos Rug to intense light or heat to avoid stains appearing.
  4. We recommend that you rotate the rug 180º every 6 months, so that the natural wear and tear that the item undergoes is even.
  5. To clean your Arraiolos rug, we recommend dry cleaning by professionals in the field.
  6. If you need to remove a stain immediately, never rub the stain. Use a gentle detergent suitable for wool, cleaning carefully from the outside in to prevent the stain from spreading and without getting the rug too wet.
